Need a Brazilian Butt Lift? Expert Dr. Carlos Chacon at Divino Explains the Procedure and Benefits

Many women, and even men, dream of having the perfect butt. Why just dream about it, when you can get the butt you’ve always wanted? The Brazilian butt lift is the fastest growing cosmetic procedure in the world. Since 2015, it’s grown an astounding 76%

Dr. Carlos Chacon at Divino Plastic Surgery is a renowned plastic surgeon. He explains the Brazilian butt lift procedure, and why you should consider getting one.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian butt lift is a fat transfer procedure. Fat transfer means fat is removed from areas of your body, and placed in another area. Have you ever looked in the mirror and said, “I wish I could take some fat from my stomach and put it on my butt?” This is essentially what occurs during a Brazilian butt lift.

The fat is removed using liposuction. It can be taken from your hips, thighs, and stomach. Once the fat is removed, it’s purified and then inserted into your buttocks. Specific areas are targeted, which gives your butt a full, round look.

What is the Procedure for a Brazilian Butt Lift?

The procedure typically begins with anesthesia. It’s possible to do the procedure with different forms of anesthesia so that you remain comfortable during the procedure. To remove the fat during liposuction, small incisions are made. Dr. Carlos Chacon of Divino Plastic Surgery explains, a tube is then used to remove the fat from the body. Once the fat has been purified and processed, it’s ready for reinsertion.

3 to 5 incisions will be made in discrete buttock creases, and the fat is injected into the area. This gives your butt a full firm appearance. Once the procedure is complete, all incisions are closed with stitches.

Benefits of a Brazilian Butt Lift

Dr. Carlos Chacon of Divino Plastic Surgery says that both the shape and proportion of the butt is largely controlled by genetics. This means if you don’t like your butt, there’s only so much you can do to change it on your own.

Diet and exercise can enhance your body, but many people find themselves disappointed with their butt even after working hard on their body. They feel their butt is flat or lacks curves.

A Brazilian butt lift doesn’t just affect your butt. Your butt also affects the proportions of the rest of your lower body. A small butt can make your thighs and stomach look bigger. A full round butt can help your entire lower body appear more proportional and give a more hourglass shaped appearance when desired.

Because the fat used in the procedure is taken from your own body, it can also remove trouble spots. This helps reshape your body into one you are comfortable with.

Who Should Get a Lift?

Some candidates are more suited to the procedure than others. To be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift, you should have good fat stores in your body.  You should also have reasonable expectations.

Dr. Carlos Chacon of Divino Plastic Surgery states that it’s very important to speak to your surgeon about your expectations and desires before the procedure.

On this show, overweight participants are tasked with losing half of their body weight through strategic dieting and exercise under the guidance and watchful eye of a trainer. Once the participant lost the necessary amount of weight, many elected to undergo plastic surgery to complete their Extreme Makeover. The surgical procedures included medically necessary and dramatic skin removal surgery.
